The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) has called for additional information from specific stakeholders participating in an ongoing signal distribution services market inquiry.
According to the Government Gazette notice announcing this, the move follows the publication of a discussion document in April 2022, setting out the authority’s preliminary views. The call for more information was prompted by some of the submissions received, as well evidence presented during the ensuing hearings.
The inquiry began in September 2021.
At the time of writing, ICASA had yet to publish the list of stakeholders from whom additional information is now required.
