SMALL ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT: 10-YEAR MASTERPLAN GAZETTED

The Department of Small Business Development has published a 10-year masterplan intended as a strategic framework for strengthening and implementing ‘the vision of the (1995) White Paper’ and its framework legislation – the National Small Business Act, 1996, as amended.

According to an introductory statement from Minister Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams, small business support and development ‘is not the domain of one department but the collective action of many’. With that in mind, the master plan’s overarching objective is to ‘enable various public and private actors to operate in a targeted, collaborative and co-ordinated manner’.
