SMME CLASSIFICATION CRITERIA: INPUT SOUGHT ON LATEST PROPOSALS

The Department of Small Business Development has gazetted draft amendments to regulations setting the criteria determining the classification of micro, small and medium enterprises – calling for input by 27 October 2025.
As far as can be ascertained, the 1996 National Small Enterprise Act schedule prescribing these criteria was last amended in March 2019.
