SOCIAL GRANTS: INCREASES GAZETTED, RELIEF OF DISTRESS CONTINUATION CONFIRMED

The Department of Social Development has gazetted notices:
- announcing monthly social grant increases effective from 1 April and 1 October 2023 for the elderly, the disabled, those requiring care, various categories of children requiring support, and military veterans, and
- confirming that the social relief of distress grant will continue to be available to qualifying recipients for the remainder of the financial year ending on 31 March 2024 (noting the timeframe within which applications should be made).
