SUPREME COURT OF APPEAL JUDGE PRESIDENT: APPOINTMENT PROCESS BEGINS

Justice Mahube Betty Molemela is to be considered for appointment as new Judge President of the Supreme Court of Appeal, following the September 2022 appointment of Justice Mandisa Maya to the position of the Deputy Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court.

According to the Presidency media statement announcing this, having been notified through Chief Justice Raymond Zondo of President Cyril Ramaphosa’s request that Molemela be considered for the position, the Judicial Service Commission will embark upon a process outlined in the statement.
