TAX BILLS LEAVE PARLIAMENT

The NCOP has passed the 2022 Rates & Monetary Amounts & Amendment of Revenue Laws Bill, Taxation Laws Amendment Bill and a ‘B’ version of the Tax Administration Laws Amendment Bill. Now with the President waiting to be signed into law, these Bills give effect to proposals in the 2022/23 Budget. Released in draft form for public comment, they were then revised and tabled in the National Assembly in October, with the Medium Term Budget Policy Statement. Once enacted, they will be gazetted and commencement dates proclaimed early next year.

Unfortunately, the Tax Administration Laws Amendment Bill’s ‘B’ version is still not available.
