TAX BILLS READY TO LEAVE PARLIAMENT

The 2022/23 Taxation Laws Amendment Bill, Tax Administration Laws Amendment Bill (‘B’ version) and Rates & Monetary Amounts & Amendment of Revenue Laws Bill are ready to leave Parliament.

Scheduled to be considered by the NCOP at its final plenary for the year on Tuesday 6 December 2022, once passed the Bills will be sent to the President for signature. Traditionally reflecting proposals in the annual Budget as revised by the Medium Term Budget Policy Statement, the commencement of tax amendment Acts is usually announced by presidential proclamation in the Government Gazette early in the new year – in time to be factored into the preparation of returns and associated documentation.

The Tax Administration Laws Amendment Bill’s ‘B’ version is not yet available.
