TAX BILLS UPDATE: FINAL OPPORTUNITY FOR SUBMISSIONS

The 2023 versions of tax amendment Bills routinely tabled each year with the Medium Term Budget Policy Statement are ready for a second reading in the National Assembly, having been adopted by its Standing Committee on Finance with no further changes. A report on each Bill has been tabled in the House and is reflected under ‘further business’ in the order paper for 23 November 2023.

Against that backdrop – and somewhat prematurely – the NCOP’s Finance Committee has called for written submissions by 28 November 2023, in anticipation of parliamentary hearings the following day.

Meanwhile, the 2023 Division of Revenue Amendment Bill has been passed and sent to the NCOP for concurrence.
