Except for one sub-section, the South African Water Resources Infrastructure Agency Soc Ltd Act is now in force – formally establishing the agency as a state-owned company and major public entity.
According to the presidential proclamation announcing this, subsection 3.2 is not yet in effect. Interestingly, that sub-section requires the Finance Minister to amend Schedule 2 of the 1999 Public Finance Management Act to include the listing of the Agency as a major public entity.
