BILLS BEING PROCESSED IN PARLIAMENT (31 December 2025)

The spreadsheet to which a link is provided below reflects the status of Bills before Parliament when the 2025/26 festive season recess began, preceded by a brief constituency period.

As SA Legal Academy reported at the time, the Immigration Amendment Bill’s ‘B’ version was endorsed by the NCOP shortly before the festive season recess. No changes having been proposed, it is now waiting to be signed into law. The Economic Regulation of Transport Amendment Bill also competed its passage through Parliament, rectifying technical errors outlined in the same SA Legal Academy report.

Two more Bills were tabled during December 2025. Introduced by ActionSA, they are the Electoral Laws Amendment Bill (SA Legal Academy report) and the Constitution 23rd Amendment Bill (SA Legal Academy report).

Please note that Bills listed in the spreadsheet can be accessed by clicking their titles.

However, you are advised to download the spreadsheet before viewing it so that all data is visible.

There are now 40 Bills before Parliament (please download before viewing). The most recent developments are emboldened in red.
