LAW COURTS RULES: CORRECTION NOTICES GAZETTED

On behalf of the Rules Board for Courts of Law, the Department of Justice & Constitutional Development has gazetted two correction notices affecting amendments to rules regulating the conduct of proceedings in the Supreme Court of Appeal and the Magistrates’ Courts. SA Legal Academy reported on these amendments at the time.
Published on 24 October 2025, all the amendments concerned are scheduled to come into effect on 28 November 2025.
The notice correcting amendments to the Supreme Court rules makes changes to an array of fees.
Changes to amendments affecting the Magistrates’ Courts rules have implications for the serving of notices and delivery of documents.
