TWO KEY BILLS TABLED IN PARLIAMENT

A draft South African National Water Resources Infrastructure Agency SOC Ltd Bill has been submitted to Parliament for information and planning purposes only – as permitted in terms of Joint Rule 159. This is according to parliamentary papers published on 25 August 2023, which nevertheless also announce the Bill’s formal introduction. However, at the time of writing the Bill had not been published.

The National Nuclear Regulator Amendment Bill has also been tabled but has yet to be made publicly available.
